On 17th August 2009, Essex Financial Services Limited, based in Brentwood Essex joined forces with Joseph R Lamb Independent Financial Advisers Limited of Rayleigh, Essex and will continue to trade under the Joseph R Lamb name. Graham Steed of Essex Financial Services Limited will be moving across as part of the merger.

Joseph R Lamb have been operating in the financial services industry for almost 40 years, building a team of highly qualified and experienced financial advisers. The decision to join forces with Essex Financial Services Ltd is expected to be the first of a number of similar agreements as the Company look to strengthen their position in the marketplace and the merger will mean that Joseph R Lamb will now have funds under management approaching £100 million. Martin Lamb, Managing Director, identified his Company’s strong administrative and technical support as key factors in securing the arrangement.
Joseph R Lamb are heavily committed to ensuring all advisers are fully qualified in the lead up to the implementation of the Retail Distribution Review in 2012 and Martin commented “Our investment in developing bespoke investment solutions for our clients coupled with our high standards of professional and technical expertise has been instrumental in the decision made by Essex Financial Services Ltd.
