Are you under 55? From April 2010, the minimum retirement age increases from 50 to 55
Anyone born between April 6th 1955 and April 5th 1959 who is looking to take early retirement will need to do so before the 6th April 2010. If not, you will have to wait up to 5 more years to receive benefits from your pension funds.

These changes affect members of all types of pension schemes, including old and current company pension schemes.
