Our Team
We are delighted to introduce the Team at Joseph Lamb. Each and every one performs a vital role in looking after our clients to the highest possible standards.
Company Founder - Joseph Lamb

Joseph Lamb
Founder
Joe originally entered financial services nearly 50 years ago with Liverpool Victoria. Joe founded Joseph Lamb in 1970 and handed over day-to-day running to Martin in 2004, although he continues to provide support and advice to Martin and the adviser team after building up such a wealth of experience unsurpassed in the industry.
Joe has experienced several periods of Boom and Bust, housing and stock market collapses and every regulatory regime the industry has been through. Very few people have seen all this as he was one of the very first ‘brokers’ and experienced the old client service focused Industrial Branch days. His historical knowledge of products and his experience and judgement is invaluable to the active management and adviser team, but following regulatory changes he is now unable to provide any investment advice to clients.
Management Team

Martin Lamb Dip PFS Certs CII (MP & ER)
Chief Executive Officer
Martin joined the practice in 1985, quickly progressing to an adviser role by 1987. As the business developed and grew over the years he took on an increasing amount of the technical and management responsibilities, becoming a partner in 1995. Martin oversaw the transition to a limited company, becoming Managing Director, as well as all the regulatory changes that have shaped the IFA market since 1988. Since 2004, Martin has successfully steered the business, ensuring it developed into the modern financial planning company it is today but keeping the focus on the core values of quality service and delivering value for clients, which have made the business successful over its 45 years history. Following a steady increase in regulatory and management requirements taking up more and more of his time, from 2015 Martin will act as Chief Executive Officer following the appointment of Ricky Daniels as Managing Director. This will allow Martin to focus on client facing work, the strategic development of the business and his role as Chair of the D-PIMS Investment Committee.

From his Economics Degree Ricky, gained a keen interest in markets and investments and as Joseph Lamb developed its in house investment services he was able become a key part of these and their development. Over the years Ricky furthered his knowledge with exams and practical experience to become the main point of referral for the Adviser Team for complex queries covering matters such as Trust, Tax and Pension planning. Following the expansion of the technical department and his increasingly important role in the investment and structural side of the business, Ricky became Technical Director in 2007. This role saw him lead the Technical & Paraplanning Team, assist Martin in operational, compliance and technical functions and sit on the Investment Committee. During this time Ricky assisted Martin with the development of our Discretionary Management Service, D-PIMS, designing its operational processes, managing the implementation of the service and today retains responsibility for its operation. In 2015, after many successful years in supporting Martin, Ricky has been promoted to Managing Director, taking over the day to day management to allow Martin more time with his clients and to focus on development of the business.
